在澳門仁慈堂慶祝成立450年之際，同期還舉行「第十二屆仁慈堂國際會議」，是國際會議首次在亞洲舉行。第十二屆仁慈堂國際會議邀請到葡萄牙、巴西、意大利、法國、安哥拉等國家的仁慈堂主席或代表出席，共同在慈善工作領域進行意見交流。
仁慈堂國際聯會由來自世界各地仁慈堂組成，有的地方仁慈堂已逾五百年歷史，國際聯會一直和各地政府合作，開展社會服務、衛生和文化遺產保護等各方面工作。
On the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the establishment of the Holy House of Mercy of Macao, the XII International Mercies Congress was also held at the same time. It was the first time that the congress was held in Asia. The Congress invited the chairmen or representatives of the Mercies from Portugal, Brazil, Italy, France, Angola etc. to attend and exchange opinions in the field of charity work.
The International Confederation of Mercies is composed of Holy Houses of Mercies from all over the world. In some places, the House has a history of more than 500 years. The International Confederation of Mercies has been cooperating with local governments in various aspects of social services, health and cultural heritage protection.
