Since its inception in 1991, the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) has grown into one of the largest and most influential global gatherings for Chinese entrepreneurs, representing a high-level conference and forum within the Chinese community. The 18th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention was successfully hosted by the Macao Chamber of Commerce. This marks the first time the convention to be held in Macao, under the theme “Working Together To Build A Community of Shared Future For Chinese Entrepreneurs.” The event aims to foster exchange and collaboration among Chinese entrepreneurs globally, jointly explore new development opportunities, and establish a vital platform for strengthening connections and pursuing shared growth. It further seeks to enhance unity and development among Chinese entrepreneurs, working together to build a future of cooperation and mutual benefit.
During the convention, a variety of activities were organized, including the opening ceremony, plenary sessions, thematic forums, business matching, business excursions, charitable donations, tourism and sightseeing tours, WCEC golf tournament, the closing ceremony, and the flag handover ceremony. The event attracted about 4,000 participants, including Chinese entrepreneurs, experts, scholars, and representatives from political and business circles across more than 50 countries and regions worldwide. More than 1,500 enterprises and institutions attended, with over 200 business matching sessions arranged. It is believed that the convention will contribute to the economic development of Macao in its new phase and is expected to provide global Chinese entrepreneurs with deeper insights into the overall development of both Macao and the nation.
